People come to me at all different points in a relationship coming apart. Some are still trying to make it work. Some already know it's over. Some are a year past the divorce, or trying to co-parent with someone they can hardly stand to be in a room with.
I won't tell you whether to stay or go. That decision is yours. My job is to help you think clearly about it and to help you get through whatever comes next.
How I work
I use approaches with evidence behind them, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing. In practice, that mostly looks like a conversation where we sort out what's actually driving this and what you can do differently this week.
I also draw on person-centered, interpersonal, and solution-focused brief therapy, depending on what fits you. Ask me anything about my training or how I work. I'd rather you ask than wonder.
Who I work with
I see adults, one on one. That's deliberate: this is your time, not a couples session. All relationships are welcome here, married or not, monogamous or not, queer or straight. I'm an affirming therapist for LGBTQ+ clients, single parents, and people from every background.
Besides relationships and divorce, clients often work with me on anxiety, depression, grief, self-esteem, codependency, family conflict, parenting stress, trouble sleeping, and men's issues.
Just call me
It's 15 minutes, it's free, and there's no sales pitch. Tell me what's going on, ask whatever you want, and see whether I seem like someone you could actually talk to. You don't need to have it figured out first.
